Over the weekend, a vehicle fire caused a major section of highway I-95 near Philadelphia to collapse.
The collapse affected the entirety of the northbound lanes, while the southbound lanes sustained enough damage to be deemed unsuitable for traffic. It is estimated that the reconstruction of the bridge will require several months, resulting in significant disruptions for commuters and travelers.
Moreover, this situation is likely to create challenges for trucking and logistics operations within the Philadelphia, New York City, and potentially even throughout all of New England, causing bottlenecks and delays.
